The Axel Stenross Boat
Ramp is a well-protected ramp and features a functional two-lane design with
access to a well-maintained jetty. It also has plenty of parking space for cars
and trailers, lighting, and a wash-down facility that provides fresh water.
Currently, dredging is
underway at the boat ramp entrance and channel to prevent the accumulation of
sand and sediment over time, ensuring adequate channel depth. It is anticipated
that this work will be completed within a week; however, the actual completion
date may vary depending on the scope of the work required, weather conditions,
and operational restrictions.
Additionally, there is
a nearby RV park where campers can safely park their caravans and/or cars and
boats for the night while enjoying scenic views of the sea. There is also the
Maritime Museum metres across the ramp.
