Bayview Park Boat Ramp, located in Bayview on Concord in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, provides direct access to the picturesque Pittwater estuary. This double-lane facility is situated along the scenic shores of Parramatta River, nestled between Burwood and Concord.
The well-maintained ramp features a gentle slope, making it simple to launch and retrieve boats. It is suitable for small to medium-sized vessels and includes a central pontoon for mooring.
Just a few meters from the ramp, there is a two-sided wharf that allows for efficient passenger pick-up and drop-off, as well as simultaneous loading of vessels. Although Sydney Ferries ceased operations at this wharf about four years ago, it remains a popular spot for fishing and leisure activities, with boats often berthing there.
While there is ample general parking available, designated boat trailer parking is limited, requiring some trailers to reverse onto the grass. Parking is metered at $4 per hour for a maximum of three hours. Boaters should plan ahead, especially during peak times when the area can become crowded.
Adjacent to the ramp is a grassy picnic area that offers stunning views over the estuary and easy access to the foreshore. The park is dog-friendly, making it an enjoyable spot for families and pet owners alike. There is a public toilet block and a playground for children nearby. Additionally, the area features various recreational amenities, including a coastal bay walkway and an outdoor gym facing the water, making it ideal for jogging, exercising, or simply relaxing.
