Bellara Public Boat Ramp

The Bellara Public Boat Ramp, located in Crest Park, in the suburb of Bellara on Bribie Island in the City of Moreton Bay, offers two convenient launching options. There's a smaller, single-lane concrete ramp situated next to the Sunset Pier restaurant, and just a few metres away, a wider ramp with 4 concrete lanes and a central pontoon—popular for both fishing and boat retrieval. The ramps open directly into the mouth of Moreton Bay, offering easy access to local fishing grounds and open water.

Well set up and easy to navigate, the facility includes plenty of parking for cars with trailers and a fish cleaning station, and the Bribie Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) station is right next door (with their jetty). It’s a straightforward and reliable place to launch, though it can get quite busy during peak times.

Aside from boating, the area is also known for its relaxed coastal charm. There are nearby public toilets and shops for added convenience, and the beach is ideal for swimming, strolling, or just unwinding by the water. It’s a pleasant place for a casual fish or a quiet afternoon outdoors. Families and dog owners will also appreciate the enclosed off-leash dog park near the wider ramp, which includes shaded areas, picnic tables, and grassy open space for pets to enjoy. It's a lovely spot to bring the kids, have a picnic, or grab a bite to eat or a coffee from one of the nearby cafes.

All in all, Bellara Boat Ramp is a well-equipped and inviting location, whether you’re heading out on the water, casting a line, or simply enjoying Bribie’s laid-back coastal vibe.
