Bruno Bay Boat Ramp

The Bruno Bay Boat Ramp, situated on the edge of Cobdogla and just over 7 km from Barmera, offers a spacious ramp wide enough for two boats at a time, along with a loading docks and floating pontoon for convenient mooring. The ramp provides easy access to the Murray River and Wachtels Lagoon, making it a practical spot for boating enthusiasts.

There’s ample parking for both cars and trailers, plus well-maintained amenities including public toilets and a riverside barbecue area under a shelter, perfect for a relaxed stopover or family outing. The site is also known for hosting the annual Bruno Bay Fireworks Spectacular each January, drawing visitors from near and far.

In 2024, the Berri Barmera Council approved plans with the Department for Environment and Water to design upgrades to the ramp, car park, and surrounding facilities. These improvements aim to enhance river access and ensure the area remains safe and functional during high-flow events, benefiting water managers, emergency services, communities, and landholders.

With upgrades on the horizon, visitors can look forward to an even better experience at this already well-loved boating and picnic destination.
