The Campwin Beach Boat Ramp, located at Campwin Beach opposite the Grasstree Beach Boat Ramp, provides direct access into Cabbage Tree Creek via a long, single-lane concrete ramp. In 2020, the ramp and surrounding car park were significantly upgraded, greatly improving access and usability for boaters.
As part of the upgrade, the former gravel ramp was replaced with a fully sealed concrete ramp, complete with underground drainage, concrete islands, and kerbing. A large, well-designed car park and improved entry road were also constructed, making launching and retrieving boats far more convenient.
The project was jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund and Mackay Regional Council.
Today, the area also includes picnic tables and seating, offering visitors a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings before or after time on the water.
