The Coraki Boat Ramp, located within Memorial Park at the eastern end of Richmond Terrace, provides easy access to the Richmond and Wilson Rivers. The facility features a single-lane concrete ramp with a pontoon, making it a convenient launching spot for small to medium-sized boats. Boaters should keep in mind that tide levels can affect the submerged length of the ramp, and there is an abrupt drop at the end, so extra care is recommended when launching or retrieving to avoid damage to trailers or vehicles.

There is a wide grassy patch beside the ramp, which is used as a parking area for cars and trailers.

Set along the picturesque riverside, the surrounding parkland creates a relaxed and welcoming environment for visitors. The nearby main street runs parallel to the waterfront, and the area offers a pleasant place for a quiet stroll along the riverbank, where you can take in the natural beauty of one of the largest river systems in Northern New South Wales.

The western end of the park includes a range of family-friendly amenities such as barbecue areas, picnic facilities, a playground, and open green spaces. A scenic riverside walking links the park’s recreational areas with the boat ramp, making it easy to explore the waterfront on foot.

Just a short distance away sits the Coraki Riverside Caravan Park, located at the eastern end of Richmond Terrace. The park offers affordable riverside camping and caravan sites, making it a popular base for anglers, boaters, and travellers exploring the region. Facilities at the caravan park include a camp kitchen, barbecue areas, fishing spots, picnic spaces, a playground, and walking tracks, providing everything needed for a relaxed stay by the river.

In recent years, the park precinct has undergone significant upgrades, creating valuable recreational infrastructure for both locals and visitors. Improvements include the installation of the new pontoon and upgraded boat ramp, a pathway connecting the ramp to the caravan park, and enhancements to the beach area featuring a sandstone retaining wall. The park has also been fitted with new outdoor furniture, shelters, and barbecues, along with Aboriginal art installations that celebrate the cultural heritage of the region.

Adding to the appeal, the local council has developed an extensive nature walk south of town that connects with the riverside precinct. This expanded trail network opens up more of the riverbank for public access, offering peaceful walking opportunities and beautiful views across the water.

Today, the Coraki riverside precinct has become a go-to destination for outdoor recreation. Visitors come here to enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, sailing, and birdwatching, or simply to relax beside the calm waters of the River.
