Tucked away just south
of Coral Bay’s town centre, the Coral Bay Boat Ramp sits in the Maritime
Facility and is a solid go-to spot for anyone heading out on the water—whether
you're fishing, heading out on a tour, or just cruising around for fun. It’s a dual-lane
ramp, so there’s plenty of room to launch or retrieve your boat, and there’s a
jetty and pontoon right next to it, which makes tying up and sorting your gear
super easy.
What’s especially
handy is the rock wall on the western side; it does a great job of shielding the
ramp from those strong afternoon westerlies that like to roll in. Whether
you're heading into the Ningaloo Marine Park for a day of exploring or coming
back in, having a bit of shelter makes the whole process a lot smoother.
Parking’s rarely a
hassle here either. With space for over 20 car and trailer combos and a decent
layout for turning, you don’t have to stress even when it gets a bit busy. If
nature calls, there are three self-composting toilets just north of the parking
area, and if you need to stretch your legs or grab something from town, the
ramp’s close enough to drive to.
And don't forget; you’re right in the heart of the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area.
It’s the perfect launching point to explore the stunning coral gardens of
Ningaloo Marine Park. Want to go a little further? Nearby beaches like Oyster
Bridge, The Lagoon, Five Finger Reef, and Maud’s Landing are all within reach
by 4WD. Plus, some amazing rock formations in the area are well worth checking
out while you’re there.
