Nestled at the end of Crusoe Beach Road, just off the Great Southern Highway, the Crusoe Beach Boat Ramp offers a peaceful launching point on the northern side of the Wilson Inlet.
Surrounded by dense bushland, water grasses, peppermint trees, and paperbarks, it's a quiet location that feels tucked away from the crowds.
The ramp itself is a simple dirt-packed launch, best suited for smaller boats accessing the Wilson inlet. A small jetty alongside the ramp makes launching and retrieving vessels more convenient. While functional, the ramp can become muddy, with soft black mud making conditions slippery at times.
Adjacent to the ramp is a commercial fishing jetty, where local fishing boats often create a picturesque coastal scene.
The site has a small car park and is ideal for those looking to take a break from the highway or enjoy a quiet day by the water. The downside to this place is that there are no amenities available within walking distance. While it's not considered a swimming beach, its calm atmosphere and natural surroundings make it a great place to relax, fish, or take in the scenery.
The inlet is home to a variety of fish species, including sandy sprat, cobbler, pink snapper, yellow-eye mullet, sea mullet, and blue mackerel, making it a popular destination for recreational anglers. Just across the ramp, Crusoe Island is rich in birdlife, and it's not uncommon to see large flocks of pelicans soaring overhead, which is a memorable sight for nature lovers.
When visiting, be sure to follow all posted signage and park only in designated areas to help preserve this tranquil coastal spot.
