Currimundi Lake Boat Ramp

The Currimundi Lake Boat Ramp, located along Westaway Parade next to Frank McIvor Park, is a single-lane concrete ramp offering access to the calm waters of Currimundi Lake. The ramp has a fairly steep incline, so extra care is recommended, particularly for those not familiar with launching on steeper gradients.

This is a great spot for launching smaller craft like canoes, kayaks, or tinnies. While parking is limited, the surrounding area offers a peaceful and scenic setting that makes the visit worthwhile.

Currimundi Lake itself is a lovely place to spend the day. It’s well-suited for swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing along the shoreline. The water is usually calm with little current, making it a safe option for children. Sandbanks throughout the lake provide plenty of opportunity for land-based fishing.

There’s a clean public toilet facility nearby, and a walking track offers easy access to the beach. The boat ramp and its surrounds remain relatively uncrowded during the week, though weekends can be noticeably busier.

Adjacent to the ramp is a well-maintained park with open sports fields, picnic spots, and BBQ facilities; ideal for family outings or a laid-back long weekend. A handful of local shops are also nearby, perfect for grabbing a coffee or a light lunch during your visit.

All in all, Currimundi Lake is a quiet and welcoming destination for boating, fishing, or enjoying time outdoors with family.
