The Denham Boat Ramp, situated in the heart of Denham in the Shire of Shark Bay, offers a dual-lane concrete ramp with a wooden pontoon walkway running between the lanes. The walkway extends well into the water, making boarding easy, though you’ll often find people casting a line from it as well. The jetty’s design is practical, with dampers in place to help protect boats from damage.
Ample vehicle and trailer parking is available, with well-maintained spaces positioned at the top of the ramp. Additional parking sits between the service jetty and recreational jetty, making access straightforward. The service jetty is equipped with lighting, power, water, and fuel facilities, with a slipway nearby managed by the Shire of Shark Bay. Diesel fuel is available through Bailey’s Marine Fuels; just remember, a fuel card is required. About 60 metres south, the recreational boat ramp and jetty offers six pens, though without a walkway.
Onshore amenities are well thought out. Public toilets are located near the entrance, and there are two fish-cleaning stations: one at the west end of the main car and trailer park, and another by the recreational jetty. Families can enjoy the nearby playground and grassy parks, which also have their own toilet blocks and BBQ stations.
