Doonella Boat Ramp

The Doonella Boat Ramp, located along the bridge on Hilton Esplanade in Tewantin, sits just a short distance from the main Tewantin Boat Ramp. This is a wide, single-lane dirt ramp without concrete surfacing or marked lanes, making launching straightforward yet basic.

Parking is limited, with only a small area available near the ramp. During high tides, the car park can go underwater, and at busy times, cars and trailers often spill out onto the roadside. There are no facilities directly at the ramp, though visitors will find restaurants and a marina just across the way.

Only a few metres from the ramp lies Mila’s Beach, one of Noosa’s lesser-known gems on the Sunshine Coast. This quiet beach is renowned for its golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and relaxed atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot for swimming, sunbathing, or snorkelling. Surrounded by greenery and tucked away from the busier areas, it offers a peaceful retreat for those looking to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the coast.

The Doonella Boat Ramp may be simple, but its location beside Mila’s Beach makes it a convenient and scenic launching point for those exploring the waterways around Tewantin.
