The Dover Boat Ramp and Jetty Playground, often referred to as Port Esperance Park, is located near the Dover Jetty on Bay View Road, along the western shoreline of Port Esperance. This ramp features a dual-lane concrete launch with an adjoining jetty in excellent condition. It allows for easy, all-tide access to the bay, with enough space to have one boat tied up while another is being launched.

While parking directly at the ramp is limited, additional parking is available nearby at the Dover Public Jetty, just a short one-minute walk away. That jetty is also commonly used for land-based fishing and mooring small boats. Fishing in this area is generally productive, with species like yellowtail mackerel, pike, salmon, and even crayfish regularly caught.

The ramp area includes several amenities, such as a BBQ station, picnic spots, and on-leash dog walking areas. It’s also a scenic location to take in the sunrise or sunset over the bay—making it a pleasant place to spend a few relaxed hours, even if you’re not heading out on the water.
