The Durras Boat Ramp is a single-lane concrete ramp that provides access
to the serene waters of Durras Lake and the open Pacific Ocean beyond. A favourite
among kayakers, small boat owners, and anglers, this spot offers fantastic
fishing opportunities in both estuarine and coastal waters.
While the ramp is well-maintained, the facilities here are pretty basic.
There’s a small parking area for cars and trailers, along with benches and
toilets, but no floating pontoons or fish-cleaning stations. One thing to keep
in mind is that the lake entrance can open or close depending on tidal
movements, so it’s always a good idea to check water levels before launching.
Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Murramarang National Park,
the Durras region is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The calm waters of the
lake make for a peaceful day of paddling or fishing, while the nearby beaches
and rugged coastline provide excellent spots for surf fishing and coastal
exploration. Whether you're after a relaxing day on the water or an adventure
along the shore, Durras is the perfect spot to escape and enjoy nature.
