Tucked away on Sunset
Boulevard in Eimeo, the Eimeo Beach Boat Ramp is a small, single-lane concrete
ramp perfect for launching tinnies, kayaks, and canoes into Eimeo Creek or
Sunset Bay. You can also venture out to Bucasia Beach through the bay, making this
spot great for a peaceful paddle or a bit of light boating.
The ramp is only
accessible at high tide—low tide launching is nearly impossible, so be sure to
check the tide charts before heading out.
The area between Shoal
Point and Eimeo Headland is home to a 4 km wide bay with three stunning
beaches: Shoal Point, Bucasia Beach, and Sunset Bay. Bucasia Beach is a
well-loved destination for both locals and travellers, offering a mix of
residential charm and holiday vibes. Just across from Bucasia, about 100 metres
across Eimeo Creek, is Sunset Bay, a peaceful, low-energy beach with a name
that perfectly matches its breathtaking west-facing sunset views.
Parking is very
limited near the ramp, so plan accordingly. However, just a few metres away,
you’ll find a small shaded park with picnic tables, benches, a playground for
kids, and a BBQ station, all perfect for a relaxing day by the water. It’s also
a great spot for walking your dog while soaking in the coastal views.
