Exmouth Marina Boat Ramp is located on the northern side of Exmouth Boat Harbour, just two kilometres south of the town centre. This dual-lane recreational ramp provides easy access to the calm, sheltered waters of the harbour and is suitable for launching most trailerable boats.
The ramp features studded concrete for improved traction and is equipped with pontoons for docking and retrieval, though it’s worth noting that the pontoons sit low in the water from mid to high tide, lack cleats, and have minimal padding, which may be a consideration for fibreglass boats.
The marina area is well-used by both recreational and commercial vessels, and boaters should be aware that many of the surrounding pens are occupied by large working boats. Despite the activity, launching here is typically straightforward and efficient.
There are two sealed public car parks north of the harbour, with plenty of dedicated spaces for vehicles and boat trailers. A fish cleaning station with running water and waste bins is conveniently located near the ramp. While there is a toilet and shower block on site, access is restricted to penholders only.
The marina serves as the northern gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Marine Park, a globally renowned destination for diving, snorkelling, and marine wildlife encounters. Visitors may spot whale sharks, manta rays, humpback whales, turtles, and a variety of colourful reef fish. For anglers, the area is a good spot for catching bream and skipjack.
Exmouth Boat Harbour functions as a busy hub supporting commercial fishing, charters, and local recreational boating. In addition to safe launching and mooring facilities, refuelling services and a small food kiosk are available nearby, which are handy for grabbing a bite before or after a day out on the water.
