The Fairymead Boat
Ramp, located at Bundaberg North, is a popular spot for fishermen looking to
catch mud crabs, large jacks, and flathead in the Burnett River.
The ramp features two
wide concrete lanes with anchor points, making it easy to launch and retrieve
boats. However, the area can be windy at times.
There are
approximately 45 car-trailer parking spaces available for boaters, along with
additional parking allowed on the dirt path side.
Please note that there
are no amenities at the ramp, except for lighting. Boat ramp users recommend
bringing mosquito spray, as these insects are common in the area, and advise
keeping an eye on personal belongings, as there is no security on-site. While crocodile sightings are rare, please practice caution when you're on the water at all times. Crocodile safety tip here.
