Fisheries Beach Boat
Ramp is a fantastic launching spot in Bremer Bay, sitting right beside the
Bremer Bay Boat Harbour. Nestled in a sheltered cove, it’s a popular
destination for boating, fishing, and swimming, making it a great spot for a
day out on the water.
The ramp itself is a
dual-lane concrete ramp with a fixed timber jetty, making it easy to launch and
retrieve your boat. Whether you’re heading out for a fishing trip in Bremer Bay
or just cruising the stunning waters, this ramp has you covered. The breakwater
wall protects both the ramp and the harbour, ensuring calmer waters for
launching. If you’re into land-based fishing, the harbour also offers some
great spots to cast a line.
For parking, there’s
an unsealed car and boat trailer area located at the road entrance to the
harbour. You’ll also find a fish-cleaning station at the entrance to the
parking area, making it convenient for anglers to clean their catch before
heading home. Public toilets are available near the pedestrian walkway leading
down to the beach.
Bremer Bay Boat
Harbour, located nearby, is a well-known starting point for whale-watching
tours. From July to November, you can spot southern right whales calving in the
nearby bays, while orca tours run between January and April, offering an
incredible chance to see these majestic creatures up close. The harbour also
features a service wharf and mooring area, catering to tourism, fishing, and
recreational vessels.
Beyond boating,
Fisheries Beach is an ideal spot for a relaxing beach day. With its calm,
protected waters, it’s perfect for swimming, picnicking, and soaking up the
coastal scenery. Whether you’re planning a fishing trip or a family day out by
the water, this spot offers something for everyone.
