This 4-lane concrete
ramp is located at Mackerel Terrace in Forster. It is beginner-friendly and can
accommodate large boats. The ramp offers direct and easy access to Wallis Lake
and is sheltered from tide and current conditions. There is a de-rig and re-rig
area at the end of the boat ramp.
During holidays and
weekends, the ramp can get quite congested. Estuary fishing and jet skiing are
popular activities on the water. Additionally, fishing on jetties and rock
walls is also common. There are designated swimming areas around the location.
Beside the boat ramp,
there is a fish information sign, as well as litter bins and a wash station a
few meters away. Furthermore, boat toilet dump loads are available in the area.
Pelicans are teeming in the vicinity.
