The Gorokan Boat Ramp, located within Wallarah Point Peace Park near Toukley Bridge in the Central Coast, offers convenient access to Tuggerah Lake for small vessels, kayaks, and paddleboards. This single-lane concrete ramp is best suited for boats up to approximately 4.5 metres, making it ideal for casual recreational use. Next to the ramp, there is a small jetty.
Although the facilities are relatively basic, the site is wheelchair accessible and provides a peaceful environment away from busier launch areas, which can make it easier to use during peak hours. Boaters should exercise caution due to the shallow entry, especially at low tide, and be aware of a large power pole located within the turnaround area.
Parking is generally available but can become crowded on weekends or during school holidays because the area is shared by parkgoers and boat ramp users.
The surrounding park is well-equipped with family-friendly amenities, including picnic shelters, BBQ stations, an exercise station, a playground, ziplines, toilets, and spacious grassy areas where kids and pets can play. The ramp’s simplicity and tranquil location attract many locals. Visitors often come for quiet fishing, birdwatching, or simply to enjoy coffee by the water, and a food van is occasionally present.
While there are calls for some upgrades to the ramp, it remains a serene and picturesque spot to launch boats, relax, or spend a quiet day with family and friends.
