The Grasstree Beach Boat Ramp, situated just across from the Campwin Beach Boat Ramp, offers a two-lane concrete ramp with an adjoining jetty. It provides an excellent launch point for accessing Cabbage Tree Creek and includes disabled access for added convenience.
A spacious car park is available, making it easy to accommodate both cars and trailers.
A few metres away from the ramp, you can find Grasstree Beach itself, one of the most scenic stretches of coastline in the Mackay Region, located about 15 minutes from Sarina. Set within the sheltered waters of Zelma Bay, the beach is shallow and well-loved for swimming, though it is not patrolled. The foreshore features a wide grassy reserve fitted with public toilets, picnic facilities, and a children’s playground.
Fishing opportunities are plentiful, with nearby reefs, islands, and creeks offering options whether you’re heading out by boat or casting from the beach near the creek mouth. For convenience, a small store is located roughly 100 metres from the beach’s public amenities.
