Tucked away beside
Fishmarket Reserve in Guildford, the Guildford Boat Ramp offers easy access to
the scenic Swan River. This peaceful spot is perfect for a relaxing day of
fishing, boating, kayaking, or enjoying a riverside picnic.
The ramp itself is a
simple, single-lane concrete setup without pontoons, making it best suited for
small boats up to 8 metres. Just a heads-up; PWCs (personal watercraft) aren’t
allowed here. If it’s a windy day, launching can be a bit tricky since there’s
nowhere to tie off your boat, but under normal conditions, it’s a smooth and
hassle-free process.
Unlike some ramps,
there’s no pavement surrounding it, just a dirt road so if it’s been raining,
expect things to get a little muddy. On the bright side, there’s plenty of
parking for both cars and trailers, so finding a spot shouldn’t be an issue.
Beyond boating, this
spot has something for everyone. There’s a playground for the kids, BBQ stations, and picnic
stations where visitors can kick back and enjoy the view. Dog owners can walk their dogs or let their dogs swim on the water. Whether you’re
launching a boat or just looking for a quiet riverside retreat, the Guildford
Boat Ramp is a great place to spend the day.
