Kookaburra Point boat
ramp, situated at Ebden just 12 kilometers east of Wodonga, offers a convenient
launch point for boating enthusiasts. This facility features a 2-lane concrete
ramp at a sheltered inlet, ensuring safety across various water conditions for
boat launches into Lake Hume.
The ramp is designed
with an optimal gradient, making it easy for larger boats to be launched from
trailers. However, keep in mind that parking is limited, with only 12
designated spaces for cars and trailers.
There is another ramp
located at the Northern Part of Kookaburra Point.
In addition to its
practical features, Kookaburra Point is an attractive destination for
individuals, families, and groups. Visitors can unwind while taking in the
stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills. The area provides
opportunities for swimming, paddling, and boating, as well as picnic and BBQ
facilities for gatherings with friends and family. Amenities such as toilets
are available on-site, and there is a gas station located on the main road as you turn right going to
Kookaburra Point.
