Lake Bullen Merri Boat Ramp, located within the scenic recreation reserve of the same name, has recently undergone some fantastic upgrades, making it an even better spot for boaters.

With the efforts of the Corangamite Shire Council and the South Beach Foreshore Committee of Management, the ramp is now much more convenient to use for boaters. The old structure has been replaced with a three-lane grooved concrete ramp, and a central pontoon has been added, making it easier to tie up boats after launching. An underwater retaining wall was also built to help minimise wave impact and prevent sediment from accumulating at the base of the ramp.

Getting in and out of the ramp is easier than ever with the addition of a new concrete road and turning circle, which make navigating the steep approach from the car park much easier. And speaking of parking, there’s plenty of space available, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot.

Surrounded by rolling green hills, Lake Bullen Merri is a fantastic destination for a day on the water with family and friends. Whether you’re into boating, fishing, swimming, or watersports, this spot has something for everyone. The crystal-clear water and grassy foreshore make it an ideal place to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area. Restrooms are conveniently located within walking distance. It’s worth noting that open campfires aren’t allowed.
