The Middle Arm Boat
Ramp, located on Middle Arm Rd in Weddell, is a single-lane concrete
ramp that provides direct access to the river, leading out to the
open ocean. While it's an easily accessible launch point, keep in mind
that it's restricted during low tide, so timing is key.
This spot is a peaceful
and scenic location, making it a great place to spend time on the water.
It's especially popular among anglers and crabbers, as the waters are teeming
with fish and crabs.
The car park
features a spacious asphalted area designed for both cars and trailers. In 2017,
the parking area received an upgrade, adding a sealed surface and
designated parking spots to enhance safety and convenience for boaters.
One thing to note is
that there are no amenities at the ramp, and some users have pointed out
the lack of lighting and security cameras. If you’re planning to launch
in the evening or stay out late, it's something to keep in mind for safety
and visibility.
