The Molesworth Ramp,
situated at the Molesworth Recreation Reserve, is a basic launching point
comprised of a dusty dirt flat approximately 3 metres wide, providing easy
access to the Goulburn River for small boats such as classic tinnie cartoppers
and kayaks. Boaters should note that the ramp is only accessible during mid to
high tide since at low tide, water levels may not be deep enough for launching.
This is also a
delightful spot for horse enthusiasts, as it's common to see horses being
washed in the river, adding a unique charm to the location.
Molesworth Recreation
Reserve offers spacious grassy areas for camping and caravanning, making it a
great spot for outdoor lovers. Visitors can swim in the Goulburn River, launch
small boats for fishing, and catch fish like rainbow trout, brown trout, and
redfin. They can also enjoy a campfire in one of the available fire pits.
Families will find
amenities including a playground for kids and a spacious oval suitable for
activities such as football or cricket. For convenience, there are two
complimentary gas barbecues available in the camp kitchen, along with seating
under a pavilion for relaxation.
Additional facilities
include toilet and shower blocks. For those interested in exploring the area,
there is also a designated cycling trail.
