Located on the Campaspe River arm of Lake Eppalock, the
Moorabbee Boat Ramp provides access to one of central Victoria’s most popular
recreational lakes. This dual-lane concrete ramp is well-maintained and highly
trafficked, particularly during the summer months. A floating pontoon is
available, making launching and retrieval more convenient for boaters of all
experience levels. Given its proximity to deep water, this ramp is ideal for
larger boats and jet skis. Lake Eppalock is well-known for its redfin, trout, Murray cod, and golden perch fishing, attracting anglers year-round.
Due to Lake Eppalock’s fluctuating water levels, the ramp
may be extended or restricted at certain times of the year, so boaters should
check conditions before visiting.
There is ample parking for vehicles, and even trailers
around the ramp.
The Moorabbee Foreshore Reserve is adjacent to the boat
ramp, offering ample parking, picnic areas, and toilet facilities. This is a
popular destination for boating, water sport, fishing, swimming, bushwalking,
barbecues and picnics.
The waters around the area is popular for watersports;
including water skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. Due to its popularity, the
area can become congested, particularly on holiday weekends. Boaters should be
mindful of speed limits near the shore and designated swimming zones. Despite
occasional crowding, this ramp remains one of the most versatile and accessible
boating facilities on Lake Eppalock.
