The Mungabareena
Reserve boat ramp is located next to the Doctors Point Road entrance. It is
near to the NSW-Victoria border. This two-lane concrete ramp can be accessed
via a gravel track. Please note that the water around the ramp can be shallow
at times and may become muddy when it rains.
Mungabareena Reserve
is a popular destination for recreation along the Murray River. It offers a
great riverside area for fishing and launching boats, as well as a peaceful
environment for swimming, picnicking, watching birds and taking nature
photographs. The area provides limited boat parking, picnic tables along the
riverbank, and a fish cleaning station. Ducks can be seen in this area.
Take note that swimming
in the Murray River can be dangerous, as conditions can change quickly due to
cold water temperatures, strong currents, and submerged objects. Be sure to
stick near the shore.
