Located on The Spit beside Seaworld Drive in Main Beach, Gold Coast, this well-equipped boat ramp offers two launch options, north and south, along with two floating pontoons to make boarding and disembarking easier. The northern ramp is the larger of the two, featuring four concrete lanes and both a floating and central pontoon. The southern ramp is a single-lane concrete ramp.
Adjacent to both is a wide sandy beach, ideal for beaching small vessels.
The area experiences low current, making it a user-friendly launch site for most conditions. It’s also directly connected to the Broadwater, offering quick and easy access to the water.
Parking is generous, with plenty of space for cars and trailers, and the area is well-lit with overhead lighting. Amenities include public toilets, showers, and a sheltered seating area for comfort and convenience.
While it’s generally a great spot throughout the week, weekends can get busy, particularly as several boat charter and hire operators also use the facilities for loading and unloading. It remains a popular and reliable launch site, particularly for those heading out into the Broadwater.
