Nornalup Boat Ramp

The Nornalup Boat Ramp, located along South Coast Highway beside the community centre and fire station, is a small yet well-equipped two-lane concrete ramp featuring a floating pontoon. In March 2024, the ramp underwent a major upgrade, introducing a new accessible paddle launch within the Walpole and Nornalup Inlets Marine Park.

This upgrade now allows visitors to safely launch small boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards to explore the scenic Frankland River, extending all the way up to Monastery Landing, which was also improved in late 2023.

The new jetty includes an all-abilities ramp and boardwalk that connect the carpark to the water’s edge. It features comfortable seating and an accessible paddle chute, making it easier for everyone, including those with limited mobility, to enjoy the calm waterways and surrounding natural beauty of the marine park. Minor landscaping and asphalt works have also been completed, adding to the area’s refreshed appearance.

While parking is limited, the location itself is peaceful and well-suited for a quiet picnic or a relaxing paddle. Public toilets are conveniently located beside the Nornalup Riverside Chalets, which offer cosy wooden cabins with kitchen facilities, patios, and direct river access, ideal for a comfortable stay close to the water.

Whether you’re here for a day trip or a weekend escape, the Nornalup Boat Ramp provides easy access to one of the South Coast’s most tranquil and picturesque waterways.
