Novara Boat Ramp, located in Falcon, a southern suburb of Mandurah, features a traditional four-lane concrete ramp, with jetties positioned between each lane. It's a well-maintained and protected ramp, best suited for small vessels such as tinnies and dinghies. The shallow approach to the channel makes it unsuitable for anything over 5 metres in length, and launching without a 4WD may prove difficult, particularly during low tide or in soft conditions.

The channel depth ranges from about 1.5 to 1.9 metres within the markers, and weeds can occasionally be present near the ramp.

That said, it’s a convenient and pleasant launch point for kayaks, small boats, and paddle craft, with easy access to nearby canals, the estuary, and open water. The surrounding area offers a peaceful environment, making it just as appealing for a day out on the water as it is for a relaxed outing onshore. There’s ample parking on site, with space for up to 45 trailers and 4 standard vehicles.

The foreshore is well-equipped for families and visitors, featuring a clean and well-kept park, BBQ facilities, sheltered picnic stations, toilets, a water station, and a playground, ideal for children and pet owners alike. It’s typically not too crowded and makes for a pleasant spot to picnic, go for a walk, or simply enjoy the views over the water. Popular local activities include fishing, kayaking, yachting, windsurfing, crabbing, and prawning.

The surrounding estuary trail also makes it a great destination for cyclists or those looking to stretch their legs with a quiet stroll. You might even spot a few pelicans while you're there.

It’s a lovely place to spend a calm afternoon, whether you're launching a small boat or simply enjoying fish and chips by the water.
