This 4-lane concrete boat
ramp is located at O’Sullivans Beach with pontoons for loading and unloading. Permits
are required to use the boat ramp.
The boat ramp has been
recently renovated to provide a wider space for boaters, reducing traffic and
boat congestion during peak hours. It aims to improve safety, and accessibility,
and make it easier for emergency services during an emergency.
O'Sullivan's Beach is
a broad, sandy beach that is popular among beachgoers during the summer. There
is a stone breakwater on the northern edge, creating a cove around the boat
ramp, which is favoured by boaters. The area provides ample parking, kiosks
offering bait and tackle, as well as food and beverages, along with boat
washing facilities.
O’Sullivans Beach is a
seaside suburb in the southern Adelaide metropolitan area, bordered by Christies
Beach, and Port Stanvac to the north, within the City of Onkaparinga.
