The Park Ridge Foreshore Boat Ramp, located in Bouvard just south of Mandurah, features a dual-lane concrete ramp with pontoons on both sides, offering convenient access to the water, only a short distance from Estuary Road. While the ramp provides easy launching for small boats, some users note that it could benefit from maintenance; the ramp surface has a few potholes, and the water can be quite shallow, especially at low tide. The channel also needs dredging and clearer markers, making it more suited to small boats rather than larger boats. However, the pontoons themselves are solidly constructed and in good condition.
Despite the limitations for boating, the area itself is a beautiful and peaceful spot. On calm days, it’s an ideal place to relax by the water or take in the night sky; the Milky Way is often visible on clear evenings, creating a serene backdrop.
Next to the ramp, the Foreshore Park is well-equipped for families and day visitors. There are clean public toilets, picnic benches, BBQ facilities, and plenty of shaded areas under the trees. A small playground and beach make it a great location for children and dogs to play safely, and the area is also popular for crabbing and casual strolls along the shore.
There are plenty of parking spaces, both for car-only and car and trailer parking.
The foreshore’s natural setting makes it a lovely choice for picnics, family gatherings, or quiet weekends outdoors. Generators are allowed, so visitors can expect a bit of background noise during busy days, but overall, it remains a relaxed and tranquil spot with plenty of charm.
