The Port Broughton
Boat Ramp, located on West Terrace Road, is a top-notch launching spot for
boaters with dual lanes and boarding pontoons. It’s well-protected by a rock
wall, offering a fantastic scenic view of the nearby jetty and bay. From here,
you’ll get direct access to the Munderoo Channel and straight out to the ocean.
This ramp has been
recently upgraded with toilet facilities, but keep in mind that fish cleaning
and wash-down stations aren’t available. That said, the parking situation is
fantastic, with plenty of space for both cars and trailers.
On either side of the
ramp, you’ll find sandy beaches, making it a perfect place for a stroll with
family, friends, or even your furry companions. Just a few metres away, the
Broughton Pier has shaded benches and picnic shelters, making it a great spot for
a scenic lunch by the water.
If you’re into fishing
but don’t have a boat, Double Header Fishing Charters operates from this ramp,
giving you the chance to join a fishing expedition out in the ocean and reel in
some great catches.
