Port Welshpool boat
ramp features three concrete lanes, a fixed jetty, and a modular plastic
floating pontoon, providing convenient access to Corner Inlet.
The jetty is an
excellent fishing spot, equipped with small covered enclosures for anglers to
sit comfortably while fishing. It includes a cleaning table with running water,
making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. The area offers a
relaxing environment with beautiful views of the water, ideal for photographs.
Currently, renovation
work is planned for the pontoon. Local officials are proposing enhancements to
create an accessible structure that allows safe and unobstructed recreational
boating access for community members with disabilities and mobility impairments.
The ramp also boasts
ample parking spaces for cars and trailers, further enhancing its appeal to
boaters. Adjacent to the long jetty, there is a Coastguard office for added
safety and support. A sandy beach located a short distance to the right of the
ramp provides a relaxing spot for visitors to enjoy the scenery and watch local
seagulls.
