The San Remo Boat Ramp, located on San Remo, a suburb of the Central Coast region in NSW, provides direct access to Budgewoi Lake and out into the Tuggerah Lake. This is a key launching point for boaters on the Central Coast.
In 2020, the facility underwent a major upgrade. Enhancements included a new single-lane concrete ramp, a jpontoon for easier launching and retrieval, and improved parking and landscaping. These updates significantly increased usability and safety for recreational boating, making it a preferred launch point for the area.
The San Remo Boat Ramp was built to replace the older ramp at Emu Drive, providing an improved and safer experience for both local and visiting boaters. It is ideal for small to medium-sized vessels, although weeds can occasionally accumulate at the ramp.
There is ample parking available, including designated spaces for cars and trailers.
Today, the San Remo Boat Ramp continues to accommodate a steady flow of boating activity thanks to its upgraded features. The area includes a pleasant grassy picnic spot with tables and chairs, as well as plenty of trees for shade. Public toilets are available and are usually well-maintained. Land-based anglers can fish from the bank and pontoon, and there are lovely walking tracks in the vicinity.
It is a quiet little spot with beautiful sunsets over the water. Its design and location make it a valuable community resource for both boaters and non-boaters.
