Sandon River Campground is a relaxed coastal retreat that offers spacious caravan and camping sites, along with fantastic opportunities for fishing and canoeing. Located at the mouth of the Sandon River in the Clarence Valley Region, the campground boasts a unique setting with the river on one side and the ocean on the other. This location is ideal for swimming, boating, or simply enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings along the scenic Clarence Coast.

For those keen to head into the river or offshore, there’s a sealed concrete ramp that serves as a beach launching area available, though access is limited to 4WD vehicles. The accessibility of the ramp is dependent on the tidal conditions, which means it can be shallow at times. Make sure to know the tide conditions before visiting the area. The campground features around 40 sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, or camping beside your vehicle. Facilities include toilets, an amenities block, barbecue areas, picnic tables, and a public phone. Visitors should note that water is not available on-site, and beach access also requires a 4WD.
