Smithton Boat Ramp

The Smithton Boat Ramp, also known as the East Esplanade Boat Ramp, sits just across from West Esplanade Park in Smithton. It offers three concrete boat ramps, each with walkways and a pontoon, making it an all-weather facility, though launching is restricted at low tide. Do take care, as the ramps can get slippery from slime build-up.

Launching here takes you into the Duck River, with easy access out to Morgans Bay. The area is well-maintained, featuring a spacious car park with ample room for vehicles and trailers, as well as public toilets for convenience.

It’s also a pleasant spot to linger, with picnic areas, swings nearby for the kids, and opportunities for fishing if you’re happy to simply let the hours drift by.
