Tucked away on
Kingfisher Beach Rd in Southport, the Southport Boat Ramp and Jetty is a simple yet
convenient spot for launching small to medium-sized boats. It features two
concrete lanes with a jetty in the middle, making docking and retrieval a
breeze. However, be mindful of the tide, this ramp is only accessible when
water levels are at least 3 metres above the sea floor.
For anglers, this is a
fantastic launch point, offering direct access to Jagers Bay, Deephole Bay,
Bream Bay, and even Pelican Island. Whether you're chasing a great catch or
just exploring the waterways, this spot has you covered.
There are amenities
within the area. There's limited parking in the adjacent car park. If that
fills up, there’s an additional dirt road parking area a little further up the
road.
The surroundings are
stunning, making it a great place to enjoy some time on the water. Just keep in
mind that there are homes nearby, so be respectful; keep the noise down and
always take your rubbish with you. Help keep this beautiful spot pristine for
everyone!
