Taylors Beach Boat
Ramp is a fantastic launch spot for anglers, boaters, and adventure seekers,
sitting just 25 minutes off the Bruce Highway from Ingham. This two-lane
concrete ramp on the Victoria Inlet is accessible in all conditions, but watch
out at low tide, as the water levels can get tricky.
From here, you can
head out for top-notch estuary fishing and crabbing, explore the Palm Island
Group (including Orpheus Island), venture to the Great Barrier Reef, or enjoy
some thrilling watersports. At low tide, the landscape transforms, revealing
mudflats teeming with soldier crabs—a fascinating sight! Whether you feel like
wandering the exposed tidal flats or just kicking back and soaking in the view,
there’s something for everyone.
Taylors Beach has
plenty of great amenities, including a small caravan park, picnic areas, and a
handy little shop stocked with fishing gear, groceries, and fuel. There’s also
a toilet block, a playground for the kids, and plenty of parking for boats and
trailers. And don’t forget to snap a photo with the huge iron crab sculpture—a
fun, quirky landmark!
