The Uhlmann Road
Public Boat Ramp, sometimes called the Burpengary East Boat Ramp, is a go-to
spot for boaters looking for easy access to the Caboolture River and to the
Moreton Bay beyond. This three-lane concrete ramp is nice and wide, with a
pontoon to make docking smoother.
If you enjoy fishing
but don’t have a boat, the pontoon is a great spot for land-based anglers to
cast a line; just keep an eye out for them when you're launching or docking
your boat.
Parking here is
spacious, with plenty of room for cars and trailers, but it can fill up fast on
busy days, so arriving early is a smart move.
The Annastacia
Palaszczuk MP Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council upgraded the ramp in
2021 by installing a fully accessible toilet block, enhancing convenience for
all visitors, by adding a small ramp for people with disabilities.
Other amenities you
can find around the ramp is a bench facing the scenic views of the water and a
BBQ station a few steps from the ramp.
While the ramp itself
is easy to use and well-maintained, one downside is the lack of fish cleaning
and boat wash-down facilities. Still, with direct access to great boating and
fishing waters, it remains a popular and practical launch point for locals and
visitors alike.
