The Victoria Park Boat Ramp in Echuca is a popular destination for boating and leisure activities along the Murray River.

As of posting this, the area is currently undergoing improvements, which include the construction of a new bridge and enhanced facilities such as ample parking and picnic areas. Named as the "Stage 2" of a multi-year project to upgrade the boat ramp and associated infrastructure is on track for completion by December 2024. Once finished, the project will provide a safe and accessible launching and retrieval point for watercraft users on the Murray River.

The works at the facility involve renewing and upgrading the single-lane concrete ramp pavement and the existing retaining walls to include an all-abilities walkway ramp and a floating dock. This dock will feature a crane to facilitate easier access to watercraft for individuals with disabilities. The concrete and footpath installation is progressing well, and the retaining wall work is nearly complete. After that, landscaping and the fitting out of equipment will take place.

Additionally, the amenities, including restrooms at the ramp, have also been upgraded. These facilities will be located in the laydown area just off the car park, northwest of the boat ramp, next to the accessible parking spaces and the pedestrian crossing.

The project's goal is to create a safe and accessible boat launch and retrieval point for anglers, campers, water and jet skiers, boaters, and nature enthusiasts to easily access the Murray River.

Families can look forward to a pleasant atmosphere with opportunities for picnicking, playing with leashed pets, and relaxing in shaded areas.
