Waterford boat ramp

Nestled within Larrey Storey Park in the suburb of Waterford, Logan City, the Waterford Boat Ramp features a small concrete boat ramp that offers direct access to the Logan River. It’s a well-kept local gem, perfect for launching kayaks, jet skis, and most small to medium boats, though low tide can make things trickier. The ramp is easy to use, with plenty of space for reversing and ample parking nearby for both cars and trailers.

The area is surprisingly clean, with a small sandy spot to pull up and clear water free from much debris. Anglers will find plenty to enjoy, whether fishing from shore, casting from a boat, or making use of the gutting bench. The nearby bridge and sandy areas provide varied fishing spots, with the chance to catch anything from flathead to even the occasional shark. It’s also a great place to introduce kids to fishing, let them play in the sand, or have a quick dip in the river.

The park itself offers plenty of green space along with a playground, public toilets, picnic areas, and dog-friendly grounds. There are covered seating areas, though tables are limited, and a pub sits less than 100 metres away for a quick meal or drink.

Quiet on most days, the Waterford Boat Ramp is not just a practical launching point but also a pleasant riverside spot for a relaxed day out, whether you’re boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the water views.
