The Wellington Marina
public boat ramp is right on George Mason St. in Wellington East, a nice little
spot by the River Murray. It’s kind of a hidden gem, mostly used by locals.
The ramp has only a
single lane made of concrete and has a sandy bottom, which makes it easy to
launch. Right next to it, there's a low jetty that’s perfect for tying up small
boats.
You’ll find a sandy
beach nearby, making it a great spot for a picnic while soaking in the
beautiful views and enjoying some peace and quiet. There are public toilets
available, and plenty of off-road parking for cars and trailers.
