The Yundah Street Boat
Ramp at Frank Doyle Park in Brisbane’s northeast is a solid spot to launch
small boats and personal watercraft into Bramble Bay. It’s got a single-lane
concrete ramp, so access is pretty straightforward. If you’re heading out with your
boat, just be aware that parking can be tricky — spots fill up fast, especially
for trailers. The fishing’s good from the bank at high tide, but if you’re
bringing a PWC, try for mid to low tide since high tide makes it hard to beach.
This area’s a nice
spot for kayaking, picnicking, and walking. You can swim, fish on the nearby
jetty, or just hang out with your dogs on the grass.
Right across the road,
there’s a fish and chip shop — perfect for grabbing lunch after your adventure.
There are public toilets, BBQ stations, and drinking water available too.
Weekends here can get pretty crowded though, so good luck finding a spot at one
of the council tables on Saturdays and Sundays (they’re in high demand). Plus,
the views are beautiful, with sights of the Port of Brisbane and the local
marina to enjoy.
