Let the boat party begin! A bevy of spectacular boats have assembled on the Gold Coast for this year’s highly anticipated 35th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), from May 23 to 26.

Australia’s largest boat manufacturers will showcase stunning global launches at the highly anticipated Southern Hemisphere’s largest boat show.

Johan Hasser, General Manager of Mulpha Events (who are the organisers of the esteemed event), expressed his team’s excitement to present 102 new product launches, more than 330 exhibitors, 700-plus boats and over 2500 marine products to show visitors.

“We are very excited about the amazing line-up at SCIBS 2024,” he said. “Once again, our exhibitors and partners have come up with the best of the best across luxury superyachts, to smaller recreational vessels and personal watercraft (PWC), to fishing gear and an incredible variety of luxury lifestyle products. We’re confident this will be a winning combination, especially with new offerings such as our Lagoon Beach Club VIP experience.”

Horizon Yachts

Among the boats making their debut is the stunning FD80 from leading yacht brand Horizon Yachts. Horizon Yachts Australia, Director Mark Western says it is sure to attract the attention of those who imagine sailing the ocean in a vessel that balances style and space with superyacht amenities.

Horizon Yacht Australia will also showcase a brand new FD90 with a full beam flybridge with great entertaining space and a microbridge offering the best of both worlds.

Yellowfin Boats

Setting the stage on Masthead Way, Sanctuary Cove, the brand will debut an overhauled Extended Cabin Range, formerly known as the Southerner. The Extended Cabin features the next generation of hull design in the HD-R Hull and Inter-Lok core, delivering a more robust, stronger design with increased stability, handling and responsiveness. The latest release in the Yellowfin lineup now signifies the next step in the brand's legacy.

An overhauled cabin design will now deliver up to 45% more internal space, whilst a new dash fascia provides enhanced real estate for electronics, allowing for a 19” and 16” sounder to fit side-by-side. EVA Matting also comes standard with all Extended Cabin models to elevate the overall fit and finish of the floor, with its soft-touch comfort, noise absorption, longevity in withstanding harsh marine conditions and sun exposure, and overall enhanced look and feel.

The extensive list of model updates, new features and options, also includes a new Live Bait Tank design for increased water flow, a revised front window-wiper and cabin sliding window design for improved performance, plus an all-new seat design and rail positions for enhanced ergonomics.

The Extended Cabin model range comes available in two sizes; 7m and 7.6m, with a person rating of up to 7, maximum horsepower of up to 300HP, and a fuel tank size of up to 380L.

Short Marine

One of Australia’s leading boat dealerships, Short Marine, will bring their greatest-ever line-up in both quality and quantity to the marina at the boat show.

Founders and Directors of Short Marine, Sam and Ryan Short, are introducing Chris Craft luxury day boats originally from the United States to the Queensland market. Short Marine is expecting that these boats will be a stand-out and a crowd favourite.  Also, debuting will be the show-stopping Viking 54 Convertible, along with their largest-ever showcase of Grady-White boats and a variety of new Regal boats.

Sports Marine

Jack Ludemann, Marketing Manager of Sports Marine crowned Nimbus Boat Dealer of the Year for 2023, says that the boat event is the perfect platform to launch the Nimbus Weekender W11. This next-level boat includes a spacious aft lounge area, multiple sunbeds, outdoor dining, plenty of storage for gear and toys and a generous deck. "SCIBS is our favourite show and year on year consistently proves fruitful for Sports Marine and our continued growth of the Nimbus Boats brand in Australia,” he says.

Wynnum Marine

Top dealership, Wynnum Marine has also chosen the boat show to debut two new boat brands to the Australian market, the Kingfisher Powercat and the stylish Yamarin boats.

“SCIBS is the perfect setting and show to be able to launch these boats,” says Johnny Milton, Principal of Wynnum Marine Brisbane. “You get so many people through the door and such a large range of customers. Last year we showcased the smaller Kingfisher boats and we’re really happy with the follow up in sales enquiries.”

"All the attendees can expect to see the 6m+ Kingfisher Powercats, that offer fantastic fishability, including a flagship hard top being built ready for SCIBS 2024," says Mr. Milton. “These boats have unbelievable seaworthiness with superior stability, a wide beam and flat casting decks that means you can fish from all corners.”

Also on display will be the Yamarin 63 Daycruiser which combines first-class handling with carefree recreation and a modern appearance, and the durable and stylish Cross 62BR whose versatile features and excellent layout create a new kind of luxury and ease for family boating.

“This high-quality brand brings unique European design and luxury style combined with the enviable reliability reputation of Yamaha Outboard Motors to Australian customers for the first time,” says Mr. Milton.
