The Inverloch Boat Ramp is a two-lane ramp
situated in the town of Inverloch along the shores of Anderson Inlet. Boaters
can use this ramp to access Bass Strait and Western Port during fair weather. Parking
spaces are available for boaters and fishermen that can approximately fit 24 cars
with trailers.
It will undergo renovations in September
and is expected to be finished by the end of 2024. The upgrade aims to enhance
accessibility and safety, benefiting both the local community and seasonal
visitors.
Features that will be
added to the upgrade include:
- A new jetty to provide
temporary berthing for more efficient launching and retrieval of boats.
- New wave screens on
the jetties to reduce wave energy.
During the closure of the Inverloch ramp for
works, boaters will be able to launch at the new facility at Mahers Landing,
which will be open by the time the Inverloch construction begins.
