Located at the Esplanade on the North Gold Coast, the boat ramp at Jacobs Well provides easy access for boats and jet skis to the various islands around the Jumpinpin area, which is known for its excellent boating and fishing conditions. It serves as a perfect launching point for accessing southern Moreton.

The ramp has recently undergone a major refurbishment and features four spacious launch lanes. There is also a jetty and a viewing platform next to the ramp, along with a sandy beach for easy access after launching. Smaller boats can be launched easily due to the sandy bottom of the ramp, and there are plenty of places to tie up your boat on the jetty. However, keep in mind that the boat ramp can be slippery.

Due to its popularity, it can get extremely busy during peak periods.

Adjacent to the boat ramp is a caravan park with barbecue facilities. There is also a fuel station and toilets located across from the ramp. A tackle shop is available next to the boat ramp, along with a boat hire facility that does not require a boat license, 6hp engine models.

There is ample parking, but it can fill up quickly on weekends due to the high volume of visitors.

The surrounding waters are rich in bait fish and various species, including bream, flathead, mud crab, and catfish. If you venture further out to the ocean entrance and head to deeper waters after catching some bait, you have the opportunity to fish for snapper. The wildlife (the area is teeming with pelicans) and views in the area are stunning, making it a great destination for fishing and kayaking, especially on calm days.
