This single-lane
concrete ramp at Lake Bolac provides easy access for small boats to launch. It also has a
pontoon beside to help for retrieving and loading the boat to the trailer.
The freshwater lake is
27 kilometres around the foreshore and covers 1460 hectacres. When full, When full, Lake Bolac is about 6-7
feet deep and is a popular boating, swimming, fishing and sailing area. It is
within easy driving distance of the Grampians National Park and The Great Ocean
Road.
Fishermen can catch
species such as Yellowbelly, Redfin, Estuary Perch or Short-finned eel. There
are a lot of camping sites and areas where visitors can relax, explore the natural
surroundings, and do fun water activities.
The boat ramp is free to use.
