The public boat ramp
at Lake Narracan for launching vessels is located on South Shore Road,
Newborough. It is only a small ramp, with a single concrete lane and can be shallow
at times. Only small vessels can launch here. There is a large parking area in
the South Shore Rd area.
Lake Narracan is a
vast and beautiful body of water spanning 300 hectares, making it a well-known
destination for water activities. The lake offers a visually stunning landscape
and the chance to enjoy swimming, fishing, sailing, waterskiing, and jet skiing.
Visitors can enjoy a picnic or a BBQ get-together around the lake. They can
also do nature walks and explore the local wildlife around Lake Narracan.
Camping in foreshore areas
or around the lake is prohibited and penalties may apply.
