This 2-lane concrete
boat ramp is located at Fisherman’s Beach at Esplanade, Mornington, specifically
at the base of Linley Point. The beach is accessible to everyone which is an amazing
place for walks, dolphin sighting, swimming, boating, and admiring the sunset
and sunrise. Between the road and beach is a narrow foreshore reserve, with a
seawall at the base of the bluffs and a few boat sheds on the beach.
Tide doesn’t reach the
ramp at low tides which can be inaccessible. There is no jetty available which
makes the ramp not ideal for inexperienced water users. It can get busy during the
spring and summer seasons so car park spaces are almost always full. The boat
ramp is not recommended for use for trailerable boats during adverse conditions.
